After a two-year absence, the American Music Awards are back. The 51st edition airs live from Fontainebleau Las Vegas on Monday, May 26, 2025, and there’s plenty to watch out for.
Where and when to watch the AMAs in 2025
The show kicks off at 7 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT, broadcast live on CBS for the first time in the award’s history. It will also stream on Paramount+ with SHOWTIME, giving fans more than one way to catch the action.
After a scheduling shuffle left the AMAs off the calendar in 2023 and 2024, CBS has stepped in as the new broadcast partner, breathing life back into one of pop music’s biggest nights.

Who’s performing at the 2025 AMAs?
There are 16 confirmed performances, but producers are keeping most of them under wraps. What we do know: Lainey Wilson will duet with Jelly Roll, while Playboi Carti and Mike Dean’s set is pre-recorded and will be shown on screen. Veteran performers Gwen Stefani, The Weeknd, and Post Malone are all returning to the AMA stage.
Hosting duties fall to Jennifer Lopez, who’s back for her second round as MC and will also perform one of her own songs. But the night’s most anticipated moment? That belongs to Janet Jackson.

Who’s up for American Music Awards?
