4-time NBA champion and 2022 NBA Finals MVP Stephen Curry will enter his age-38 season in 2025-26 for the Golden State Warriors, and he remains adamant on competing for one more championship.
With Curry’s playing career drawing nearer and nearer to a close with each passing year, the legendary point guard and all-time great scorer reportedly could stick around the NBA scene after he decides to hang up the sneakers.
According to a recent update, it seems as though Curry has a desire to follow in his father Dell Curry’s footsteps in more ways than one, as he responded positively to questioning regarding a possible broadcasting career once his time on the court eventually wraps up during an interview with CNBC’s Alex Sherman.
“Oh, for sure,” Curry told Sherman when asked if he’d pursue future on-air opportunities on Monday morning.
“I’ve seen guys that have give through it. Lot of ex-NBA guys that are behind the booth now, whether it’s commentating, whether it’s in-studio.”
“Draymond (Green) has already got his path set up.”

“I would be more patient, I think, about what would be the right opportunity for me, because anything that I do, I want to be all-in on it.”
The NBA’s all-time leader in three-pointers made in both the regular season and playoffs (4,708 total made threes) can look forward to plenty of opportunities to impact games from either the broadcast booth or studio, but he’ll aim to weigh his options when that time arrives.
After Curry’s father Dell finished his 16-year NBA career, he was then offered a spot as the color commentator for the Charlotte Hornets, a post he’s manned since 2009.
Stephen may not wind up pursuing a full-time gig as a broadcasting talent, but he’ll surely be keeping an eye out for a chance to get on the microphone and impart some of his knowledge unto millions of basketball fans around the globe.
