Then injuries set him back, and he was slowly phased out of the NBA. Now playing overseas, a recent DeMarcus Cousins fight in Puerto Rico has been all over international basketball news.
Cousins has been playing this season with the Mets de Guaynabo, a team in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional league.
This is Cousins’ second stint with the Mets de Guaynabo. He is averaging 18.2 points, nine rebounds, and 4.7 assists so far this season.

Cousins’ story in the NBA was always also somewhat tainted with ejections, technical fouls, and other controversies. This is why, when a recent DeMarcus Cousins fight popped up around social media, nobody was surprised.
In a recent Mets de Guaynabo match, Cousins got into a verbal altercation with a fan, leading to his ejection.
While being escorted off the court, Cousins flipped off the crowd, and they eventually threw food and drink on him. This disrespectful display pushed Cousins over the edge.
Cousins attempted to attack the fans who threw things at him. Luckily for the fans, police and security were able to stop him.
Although this behavior by fans is wildly disrespectful, Cousins’ temper once again may have gotten the best of him. Luckily for everyone involved, this DeMarcus Cousins fight didn’t escalate, because if it did, there could be some serious repercussions for Cousins and the fans.
