The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is warning travelers that charging smartphones through USB ports at the airport can lead to stolen personal data.
“Hackers can install malware at USB ports (we’ve been told that’s called ‘juice/port jacking’),” read the post.
“So, when you’re at an airport, do not plug your phone directly into a USB port,” it added.
This week, the TSA also announced a ban on camping stoves with propane tanks.
“Listen, friends, we love watching cooking shows as much as you do, but any top chef has to know that you cannot bring a stove with a propane tank attached through airport security in your carry-on bag,” the TSA said.
