A woman was found shot on Saturday night near the Anacostia Park swimming pool. The shooting occurred just a few hours after the Army 250 parade concluded, at about 9:10 p.m.

The United States Park Police and Metropolitan Police Department both responded to the scene, where they found the woman unconscious but breathing, and suffering from a gunshot wound, according to DC News Now.

The woman was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, and park police said she did not die.

Due to the nature of her injuries, the homicide unit was notified. However, no information regarding a suspect has been released at this time.
