The White House has posted the “Daddy’s Home” meme with video of President Trump at the NATO summit, following the NATO secretary’s comment referring to Trump as “Daddy.”
On Wednesday, the White House posted on X, “
Daddyās homeā¦ Hey, hey, hey, Daddy. President Donald J. Trump attended the NATO Summit in The Hague, Netherlands.” The post included a video compilation of Trump at the NATO summit, with the 2009 Usher song “Hey Daddy (Daddy’s Home)” playing over it, which is used as an internet meme of men who women find attractive.
The White House posted the meme after NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte referred to Trump as “Daddy.”
At the NATO summit earlier on Wednesday, Trump said that he didn’t know if drawing up papers for the ceasefire between Israel and Iran was needed because “they’re not going to be fighting each other. They’ve had it. They’ve had a big fight — like two kids in a schoolyard, you know? They fight like hell, you can’t stop them. Let them fight for about two, three minutes, then it’s easy to stop them.”
“Then Daddy has to sometimes use strong language to get them to stop,” Rutte laughed.
Trump replied: “You have to use strong language. Everyone saw you have to use a certain word to get the point,”Ā
Trump helped negotiate a ceasefire between Iran and Israel on Monday, which took effect on Tuesday. However, on Tuesday morning, Trump expressed his disappointment as he said that both Israel and Iran had violated the ceasefire agreement.
āWe have two countries that have been fighting for so hard and so long they donāt know what the f-ck they are doing,ā Trump said, which is the “strong language” that Rutte was referencing.
Later on Tuesday, Trump posted on Truth Social that the “Ceasefire is in effect!”
