President Donald Trump on Tuesday announced $92 billion of investments in Pennsylvania for energy infrastructure and to develop artificial intelligence during an energy innovation event in Pittsburgh.

“This afternoon, 20 leading technology and energy companies are announcing more than $92 billion of investments in Pennsylvania,” Trump said during the event.

The president said that the U.S. was going to be the “hottest country.”

“We have the hottest country, and we’re going to keep it that way,” Trump said. “Today’s new members are ensuring that the future is going to be designed [and] built and made right here in Pennsylvania.”

The Pennsylvania Energy and Innovation Summit is taking place at Carnegie Mellon University. Sen. Dave McCormick, R-Pa., and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent were among those who joined the president.

The investment management company Blackstone is expected to invest $25 billion in data centers, according to local media.
