British actress Emma Watson has been banned from driving for six months after being caught speeding in Oxford, England.

The 35-year-old did not appear at the hearing at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, when the punishment was handed out. She was caught going at 38mph in a 30-mph zone in her blue Audi and received three points on her license.

That took her total to 12 points in less than three years, enough for a six-month suspension to her license in the UK. Watson was also handed a fine of ÂŁ1,044 ($1,400) for the rule break.

Strangely, Watson was not the only Harry Potter alumni to get a driving ban on Wednesday.

Actress Zoe Wanamaker, who played Madam Hooch in the iconic film series, was also punished for driving at 46mph in a 40mph area. That was enough to take her to 12 points too, meaning that Wanamaker also received a six-month suspension and a fine of ÂŁ1,044.

District Judge Arvind Sharma oversaw both cases in High Wycombe on Wednesday, deciding that both Harry Potter stars had earned themselves a spell out of the driving seat as punishment.
