
A suspect was taken into custody after multiple people were stabbed at a Walmart on Saturday in Traverse City, Michigan, the State Police reported.
“Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a multiple stabbing incident at the Wal-Mart in Traverse City,” the State Police reported on X. “The suspect is in custody, details are limited at this time.”
Authorities asked the public to stay away from the scene. A Walmart corporate spokesperson, Joe Pennington, told The Associated Press by email that the company was “working with police and defer questions to them right now.”
Traverse City is one of the largest cities in northern Michigan.
