
Taylor Swift fans around the world were given a major surprise last week as the singer-songwriter announced the title and release date for her 12th studio album: “The Life of a Showgirl.”
Last Wednesday, Swift made her first appearance on New Heights, the podcast hosted by her boyfriend, Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce and revealed details surrounding the new release.
The album title was revealed in a teaser for the upcoming episode. “I wanted to show you guys something,” Taylor says, holding up a vinyl record—pulled from a briefcase marked with the initials “TS.”
The 12 track album gets a global release on October 3.
The Life of a Showgirl formats
Taylor Swift’s upcoming album (released by Republic Records) will be available via several formats:
Vinyl: A special limited edition “Portofino orange glitter” vinyl is available for pre-order. There may be other vinyl variants as well, as Taylor Swift often releases multiple versions of her albums on vinyl.
CD: Both standard and deluxe CD versions are available for pre-order.
Digital: The album will be available on all major streaming and digital music platforms.
Cassette Tape: Swift will also make ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ album available via a special cassette edition is also available.
