It was back in the 1980s when Thomas F. Wilson burst into our lives as the villain of one of the most iconic trilogies of all time, Back to the Future. There, he brought Biff Tannen to life, alongside stars like Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd. Now 66, Wilson keeps a low profile, far removed from the media spotlight, leaving many wondering what he looks like today.
Born in Philadelphia in 1959, Thomas F. Wilson first dipped his toes into acting while still in school. However, he initially chose to study Political Science before fully committing to his true passion. Years later, he enrolled at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, financing his studies by working as a stand-up comedian.

Although his most iconic role was undoubtedly in Back to the Future, Wilson also appeared in successful films such as Action Jackson, High Strung, Camp Nowhere, and April Fool’s Day. He went on to build a notable career in voice acting as well, most prominently in the beloved children’s series SpongeBob SquarePants. During the 2000s, he made guest appearances in popular TV shows such as Two and a Half Men, Ghost Whisperer, House, and NCIS.
Life away from the cameras
On the personal side, Wilson married Caroline Thomas in July 1985—the same year the film that catapulted him to international fame premiered. The couple lives in Los Angeles, California, where they lead a very private life and raise their four children. Despite staying away from the limelight, Wilson remains connected to the arts in various ways.

Recently, he was photographed while out to lunch with a friend. The rare images delighted fans, who hadn’t seen him in years.
