As a parent, one would hope that their children look up to you and feel proud about the work you do. Unfortunately, that isn’t always the case, and Alec Baldwin’s daughter Carmen didn’t mince words about what she thinks of the movies she’s seen of his.
Mind you the 11-year-old has yet to see much of his repertoire, admitting during an interview with Entertainment Tonight that she’s only seen three so far. However, none of them were exactly her cup of tea.
“I do not want to watch this”
The topic of her father’s acting career came up during a joint interview with her mother Hilaria Baldwin to talk about their upcoming mother-daughter podcast ‘Growing Up Together’, which debuts 17 September. Carmen was asked if she’s seen any of her father’s movies
She first talked about having to watch the 2017 animated film ‘Boss Baby’ repeatedly. Not because of her father, but because of her brothers.
“I watched ‘Boss Baby’, like, multiple times ‘cause my brothers have, like, an obsession with it. And I’m like, ‘I do not want to watch this.’”
When pressed whether she likes the movie, she said, “Yeah! It’s my dad, and it’s like oh, okay.” However, Carmen was asked if he was any good in the movie.
The response was a blunt “no.” She did, however, soften the blow to her father’s ego. “Well, he didn’t do much acting. It’s an animation!”
As for the second installment in the ‘Boss Baby’ franchise, she says that she has only had to suffer through that one once. “Cause, I’m like, I’m seven years old. I don’t want to be watching this,” Carmen shared.
As for the third film, she was reminded that she had seen ‘Beetlejuice’. It wasn’t up her alley either. “It’s not my kind of movie. I don’t like gory things,” she explained.
