An Arizona state senator has announced a Charlie Kirk prayer vigil in Washington, D.C. on Sunday.

State Sen. Jake Hoffman, a member of the Republican National Committee, has limited the event to those who request to be invited and “approved” media.

The event is scheduled for 6 p.m. in a section of the District that includes the White House and Capitol Hill.

“The service will be a unifying event focused on prayer, mourning and celebrating the life, legacy and memory of Charlie Kirk,” reads the announcement.

Kirk, a conservative political activist, was fatally shot by Wednesday at a rally at a university in Utah.

The alleged shooter, Tyler Robinson, has turned himself into authorities.
