Bad Bunny is on the verge of making history in Puerto Rico. On July 11, the Me Porto Bonito singer kicked off a residency in his homeland as part of his “Most Wanted Tour” for Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana, his seventh solo studio album.

The 32-year-old artist, whose full name is Benito Antonio MartĂnez Ocasio, will perform a total of 30 shows at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico, running from July 11 to September 14. The concerts are expected to draw more than half a million fans in total – a record-breaking milestone for the island.
Once the Puerto Rico run ends, the acclaimed Conejo Malo will take his tour to other parts of the world, including the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Australia, Japan, Spain, Portugal, Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, France, Sweden, Poland, Italy and Belgium. Noticeably missing from the list? The United States.
Why Bad Bunny is snubbing the States
Bad Bunny hasn’t announced any U.S. dates – a move widely seen as a political statement. The artist has been an outspoken critic of former president Donald Trump and his anti-immigration policies. Earlier this year, he used his official Instagram account to call out U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, labeling them “motherf***ers.”
On July 4 – U.S. Independence Day – the Puerto Rican artist released the music video for his track NUEVAYoL, using the occasion to send a message of unity to the immigrant community while alluding to the current occupant of the White House.

When asked by Variety why his tour didn’t include any U.S. stops, he simply said it “wasn’t necessary” because American fans have had plenty of chances to see him perform. Still, many have interpreted the decision as a pointed rebuke of Trump and his anti-immigrant rhetoric.
