Debut song “How Do I Live (Without You)?” remains one of LeAnn Rimes’ biggest hits to date, although the country star was left wondering “How Do I Sing Without You?” when she was forced off stage mid-song at a recent gig due to a flying tooth.
Rimes was performing at Skagit Valley Casino & Resort in Bow, Washington last Saturday when she took an impromptu break and briefly walked off stage.

The 42-year-old revealed the reason for her unexpected disappearance in a TikTok video the following day, when she also referenced the dental mishap during a second gig at the same venue.
“This is the most epic example of how the show must go on. Last night, I was onstage in the middle of ‘One Way Ticket’ and I felt something pop in my mouth,” Rimes explained.
“If you’ve been around, you know that I’ve had a lot of dental surgeries, and I have a bridge in front, and it fell out in the middle of my song last night.”

What is a dental bridge?
A dental bridge is an artificial tooth – or teeth – which replaces one or more missing teeth by literally “bridging” the gap between them. They are held in place by crowns on the adjacent teeth, which act as anchors.
Rimes went backstage in an attempt to simply pop the bridge back in, which she was unable to do.
“I just had to get real with everybody and tell them exactly what was happening, or else I would have had to walk off stage. For the rest of the show… I was pushing my teeth in, like, every couple of lines.
“I don’t usually have firsts in my career. That was a first and hopefully a last.”
Rimes sees the funny side of dental mishap
At least, though, she was able to see the funny side of the incident, which she refereed to stage the following night.
“For the front row, get ready for something to fly out. If you catch them, please return them,” she joked.
