The Los Angeles Dodgers are leading the National League West, but the San Diego Padres are closing in. The Dodgers’ injuries, however, are piling up.
The Dodgers currently have starting pitchers Blake Snell, Tyler Glasnow and RÅki Sasaki on the injured list. Shohei Ohtani also has not pitched for the team yet. While Snell revealed that he is making progress, the Dodgers announced that Tyler Glasnow has suffered a setback. He was placed on the injured list at the end of April, but was moved to the 60-day injured list on May 31.
The Dodgers announced that Glasnow’s “body didn’t respond well” after he threw a bullpen session on May 23, according to MLB.com’s Sonja Chen.
“I’m not sure when he’s going to get back on a mound,” Roberts told Chen. “Our hope is that it’ll be soon, somewhat in the same timeframe as Blake.”
The Dodgers’ rotation and pitching staff as a whole have underperformed as of late. They have a 4.54 ERA since May 3, according to ESPN’s Buster Olney. The Dodgers signed Glasnow to a five-year, $136 million extension after trading for him before last season.

Glasnow was an All-Star in 2024, but missed most of the second half of the season and the postseason. Last year, he had a 3.49 ERA in 22 starts. This season, he has a 4.50 ERA through his first five starts. The Dodgers will be hoping he returns looking like an All-Star, whenever that may be.
