The 2024 Major League Baseball World Series was one of the most iconic series in MLB history, as it pitted the New York Yankees against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Dodgers beat the Yankees in five games, and this past weekend marked the first time the two teams had met since the World Series.
Los Angeles has taken the first two games in the three-game series, and on Saturday night, the Dodgers won by a score of 18-2.
During the game, Yankees star outfielder Aaron Judge hit a ball into the left centerfield gap, and Judge was trying to turn his hit into a double when Dodgers outfielder Hyeseong Kim picked up the ball and threw it to second base, tagging Judge out.
The Los Angeles Dodgers’ social media page posted a highlight of the clip of Hyeseong throwing Judge out and stated, “Great play by Hyeseong, but you be the Judge.”

It’s safe to say the two franchises don’t have much love for each other, given that they are the two most prominent brands in the sport, met in last year’s World Series, and have two of the best players in baseball in Judge and Shohei Ohtani of the Dodgers.
There is a good chance the two teams could meet again this October, and if they do, the Yankees will need to find a way to close out games, unlike they did last season.
