Phil Roberton, the bearded patriarch of the smash TV hit “Duck Dynasty,” has died after a battle with Alzheimer’s and a blood disease, his family announced Sunday night. He was 79.

The star’s daughter-in-law Korie Robertson announced the news on Instagram.

“We celebrate today that our father, husband, and grandfather, Phil Robertson, is now with the Lord,” she wrote.

“He reminded us often of the words of Paul, ‘you do not grieve like those who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.”

She added: “We are grateful for his life on earth and will continue the legacy of love for God and love for others until we see him again.”

Phil Robertson starred on “Duck Dynasty” from 2012 to 2017, and also founded the Duck Commander company.

The show is slated for a reboot in the next year.
