
Emmy Award winner Loretta Swit, known for her lead role as Maj. Margaret “Hot Lips” Houlihan on the TV show “MASH,” died on Friday at the age of the 87.
Swit’s team said the actress died just after noon at her residence in New York City, according to NBC News. Her cause of death was not immediately clear, but natural causes are suspected. However, a coroner’s report is still pending.
She was best known for her role on “MASH,” which won her two Emmys and 10 nominations. The show ran from September 1972 to February 1983.
