FBI Director Kash Patel said Wednesday that members of the agency and professionals would be meeting with the victims of disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.
During his testimony before the House Judiciary Committee, Patel was asked by Kentucky GOP Rep. Thomas Massie, whether he would meet with the victims of Epstein.
“Will you personally meet with them?” Massie asked.
“The FBI and the professionals who are handling the cases will,” Patel said in response, according to CNN.
Patel faces questions from the committee on the Epstein files and the alleged assassin of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk. On Tuesday, he testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Epstein died in a New York correctional center in August 2019 while awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking of minors and conspiracy to commit sex trafficking. Officials say Epstein, who was already a convicted sex offender, died by hanging himself.
Rep. Ted Lieu, D-Calif., asked Patel whether there were any suggestive pictures of President Donald Trump with underage girls, to which Patel said there weren’t.
