FBI seized phones, files, computer equipment during John Bolton raid

The FBI last month seized folders, computer equipment and phones from former National Security Advisor John Bolton’s home during their national security raid, court records released on Thursday showed.

The bureau raided Bolton’s Maryland suburban home last month as part of a national security investigation that started under the Biden administration, but was not heavily pursued until FBI Director Kash Patel took office earlier this year.

The records included a search warrant inventory revealing the FBI took multiple phones, computer equipment, four boxes containing daily printed activities and documents in folders labeled “Trump I-IV,” among others, per the Associated Press.

The probe questions whether the former Trump adviser mishandled government secrets while in office, including classified documents, though no charges have been filed.

The redacted court records come after several news outlets pushed the court to unseal the search warrant because, they argued, public interest outweighs the need for secrecy.
