Federal authorities on Thursday released the names of the two National Guard members shot a day earlier near the White House and provided additional details about the attack

The victims of the shooting, by an alleged Afghan national, are Sarah Beckstrom, 20, and 24-year-old Andrew Wolfe, said U.S. Attorney for D.C. Jeanine Pirro.

She also said the suspect drove across the country from his home in Bellingham, Washington, to Washington, D.C., and used a .357 Smith & Wesson revolver in the shooting.

In a press conference with FBI Director Kash Patel, Pirro also said pending charges against the suspect, Rahmanullah Lakanwal, are possession of a firearm and three counts of assault with intent to kill while armed.
