A federal judge on Tuesday allowed the Justice Department to publicly release records from Ghislaine Maxwell’s sex trafficking case.
Maxwell, an associate of late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, is serving a 20-year prison sentence.
Judge Paul A. Engelmayer ruled after the DOJ asked in November to unseal grand jury transcripts and exhibits from Maxwell and Epstein’s cases, in addition to investigative materials, The Associated Press reported.
The decision means the records could be made public within 10 days.
