The Federal Reserve on Wednesday decided to keep interest rates unchanged as the U.S. economy begins to slow.

The decision was made despite President Trump’s call for lower interest rates amid tariff wars with other countries.

The lending rate is at a range of 4.25% to 4.5%, which has been held since January, CNN reported.
