The Heat are coming off a season where they narrowly made the playoffs through the play-in tournament, but were swept by the Cavs in the first round.
One of the few bright spots last season was Heat guard Tyler Herro.
After a great 24-25 season, Herro could be in for a huge extension in the Fall.

How much money could Herro get in his extension?
According to ESPN’s Bobby Marks, Herro could get roughly a 3-year $150 million extension starting Oct. 1.
After Oct. 20, Marks says that Herro can sign a 4-year ~$207 million extension if he can’t agree on a deal before that date.
Herro could play the long game and hope to be all-NBA in the 25-26 season, which would then make him eligible for a supermax contract of 5-years $380 million ($76 million AAV).

The idea of Herro making $76 million a year is kind of wild, but as I’ve said in past articles, these lucrative deals for players are the direction the NBA is heading toward.
In 24-25, Herro averaged 23.9 PPG (career high), 5.2 RPG, 5.5 APG (career high) and shot 47.2 FG% (career high).
Herro didn’t receive any all-NBA votes in 24-25, so it would take another year of an uptick in production, paired with some team success to become eligible for that all-NBA extension.
