An Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent shot and killed a woman who allegedly attempted to run over law enforcement with her vehicle amid immigration enforcement conducting a crackdown in Minneapolis.

Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin said that the woman was shot in her vehicle in a residential neighborhood in Minneapolis, The Associated Press reported.

There was a large presence of federal and local officers, yellow police tape, and cars that had been in a crash, according to live video posted online, with U.S. Customs and Border Protection Cmdr. Gregory Bovino among them.

“We are aware of a shooting involving a federal agent at 34th Street and Portland. We are working to confirm additional information, but what we know is that the presence of federal immigration enforcement agents is causing chaos in our city and making our community less safe. Mayor Frey is demanding ICE to leave the city and state immediately. We stand by our immigrant and refugee communities – know that you have our full support,” the City of Minneapolis Government posted on Facebook.
