An Iranian official has said that Iran agreed to the U.S.-proposed ceasefire with Israel, according to reports.

An anonymous, senior Iranian official told Reuters that Tehran had agreed to the ceasefire, following President Trump’s announcement on Monday.

“CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE!” Trump posted on Truth Social. “It has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran that there will be a Complete and Total CEASEFIRE (in approximately 6 hours from now, when Israel and Iran have wound down and completed their in progress, final missions!), for 12 hours, at which point the War will be considered, ENDED! Officially, Iran will start the CEASEFIRE and, upon the 12th Hour, Israel will start the CEASEFIRE and, upon the 24th Hour, an Official END to THE 12 DAY WAR will be saluted by the World.”

Unnamed, informed Iranian sources told Amwaj.media on Monday that Iran and Israel are set to end the war. Israel will stop firing at 3:30 a.m. Jerusalem time with Iran responding by also ending its offensive military operations. Shortly after, the truce will transition to a “conclusion” of the conflict, according to a senior Iranian source.

Trump on Saturday launched missiles that struck Iran’s nuclear sites as the Islamic country has been trading airstrikes with Israel, following the Jewish state’s missile strikes on Iranian military and nuclear sites.
