The Iranian regime said it “vehemently” condemns U.S. attack in letter sent to the U.N. Security Council on Sunday.

“The Permanent Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations has submitted an urgent letter to the Security Council at midnight local time, vehemently condemning the United States’ unlawful and reckless bombing of Iran’s nuclear facilities,” Iran wrote on X.Ā

“The United States and the bloodthirsty Zionist Regime of Israel shall be held fully accountable for these flagrant violations of international law and must face the grave consequences thereof,” the Iranian government said.

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said that the government is reviewing “all options” for a potential response to the U.S. attack.

ā€œThe events this morning are outrageous and will have everlasting consequences. Each and every member of the UN must be alarmed over this extremely dangerous, lawless and criminal behavior,ā€ Araghchi posted on social media platform X.

“In accordance with the UN Charter and its provisions allowing a legitimate response in self-defense, Iran reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, interest, and people,” he added.
