The Pacers could be without a key contributor in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Indiana head coach Rick Carlisle said Monday that forward Aaron Nesmith will “likely” be a game-time decision on Tuesday night, according to ESPN’s Jamal Collier.

Nesmith had to be helped off the floor after spraining his right ankle in Sunday’s 106-100 loss to the Knicks in Game 3. He returned to the game in the fourth quarter and finished out the contest, but Carlisle said he “woke up sore” on Monday.

Nesmith helped will Indiana to a 138-135 victory in Game 1 by making an NBA playoff record six threes in the fourth quarter, setting up Tyrese Haliburton’s game-tying shot to force overtime. Indiana won Game 2 114-109 to give itself a home-court advantage.
