Israel strikes Houthi targets in Yemen capital

Israel on Wednesday struck Houthi rebel targets in Sanaa, Yemen’s capital, according to the Houthis and Israel Defense Forces.

Houthi-run Health Ministry spokesman Anees al-Asbahi and military spokesman Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree confirmed the strikes, according to the Associated Press.

IDF posted on X on Wednesday, saying the strikes were on Houthi military targets.

“The IDF struck military targets belonging to the Houthi terrorist regime in the areas of Sanaa and Al Jawf in Yemen,” the IDF posted. “

Among the targets struck: Military camps in which the Houthi regime gathered intelligence, and planned & executed terrorist attacks against Israel. A fuel storage facility that was used in Houthi terrorist activity. The Houthi Public Relations Department, responsible for distributing propaganda messages in the media and psychological terror.” 

The Houthis have said they are supporting Hamas and the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
