First lady Melania Trump has threatened to file a $1 billion lawsuit against Hunter Biden over comments he made in an interview last month linking her to Jeffrey Epstein.
“This correspondence serves as a demand under Florida Statute § 770.01 that you immediately retract the false, defamatory, disparaging,  and inflammatory statements made about Mrs. Trump, which are contained in the video published  on YouTube on August 5, 2025, titled ‘Hunter Biden Returns'” her attorney wrote to Biden in a letter first obtained by Fox News.
The comments at issue refer to claims from Hunter than “Epstein introduced Melania to Trump. The connections are, like, so wide
and deep.” Biden also stated that “Jeffrey Epstein introduced Melania, that’s how Melania and the First Lady and the President met.”
“Uh, f— that. That’s not gonna happen,” Biden said, according to The Hill.
