A 20-year-old midshipman has been found dead near the Naval Academy, in Annapolis, Maryland, after failing to show up for classes Thursday.
Academy officials have identified the student as midshipman Second Class Kyle Philbert James, of Whippany, New Jersey.
James was reportedly found dead Friday. However, as of Monday officials have not announced when he was found or his cause of death.Â
James reportedly exchanged texts with his mother, expressing their love for each other, before he was reported missing.
