‘Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning’ got it’s long-awaited cinematic release earlier this year, premiering in Tokyo on May 5. Since then the latest installment of the movie franchise has racked up nearly $600 million at the box office and it is now heading to streaming services.
The latest title – expected to be the eighth and final ‘Mission: Impossible’ film – had the largest opening weekend of any film in the franchise and there will be a lot of eager fans waiting to watch it again at home.
USA Today reports that ‘Mission Impossible – The Final Reckoning’ will be available to buy on digital platforms from Tuesday, August 19. It will be available on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV and Fandango, according to a press release from Paramount Pictures.

The digital release will also bring together certain bonus features not included in the cinematic release. Viewers will get access to behind-the-scenes interviews with cast members, exclusive commentary and additional footage that did not make it into the final cut.
Paramount Pictures describes it as an opportunity for fans to “take a deep dive into the breathtaking production” behind the iconic Hollywood franchise. For fans it is the perfect way to reflect on the action-movie series, as Tom Cruise did at a recent interview with PEOPLE.
“I did the best you can, and it’s representing all the efforts of everyone involved at that particular moment,” he explained.
“I looked at it and I really see what it takes to make these movies and what I’ve learned about storytelling [in] this particular genre,” Cruise continued.
