MSNBC will rebrand to ‘MS Now’

Cable network MSNBC will rebrand to “MS NOW” as part of an effort by its parent company to draw a clearer distinction between the networks under its purview.

The left-leaning outlet is home to well-known hosts and pundits, such as Rachel Maddow. It is owned by NBCUniversal, which also owns CNBC and NBC News.

The MS NOW label stands for My Source for News, Opinion and the World, Axios reported. The network also plans to drop the peacock logo.

“This gives us the opportunity to chart our own path forward, create distinct brand identities, and establish an independent news organization following the spin,” Versant CEO Mark Lazarus said.
