National Security Advisor Mike Waltz will resign from his post, a senior administration official confirmed Thursday.

This is a developing story …

The resignation was first reported by CBS News, then confirmed to Just the News by the official.

Waltz’s deputy, Alex Wong, will also be leaving the Trump White House, multiple sources familiar with the departure told the news outlet.

The departures follow an incident in March in which a journalist was included in a Signal group chat Waltz organized for top national security officials to discuss plans for a military strike on Houthi targets in Yemen.

Goldberg’s initial account of the discussion did not include operational details, but a followup did after Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and other top officials denied classified information had been shared.
