A new investigations unit in U.K. is going to monitor public social media posts for anti-migration content, according to a report.

Police from across the country will join the effort, according to a report from the Telegraph.

Michael Shellenberger, CBR Chair of Politics, Censorship & Free Speech at the University of Austin, wrote on X that the U.S. has become a police state.

“It’s official. The UK is now officially a police state. It has become precisely what Orwell warned about. Criticize mass migration and you can expect the police to come to your home. And judges will give longer sentences for wrong think than many violent crimes,” he wrote.
