Newark airport grapples with another air traffic control outage

Newark Liberty International Airport is grappling with another equipment outage delaying passengers’ travel plans.

So far, about 80 flights have been canceled and more than 40 flights have been delayed as of Sunday afternoon.

The FAA initiated a ground stop on Sunday for roughly 45 minutes as a result of the outage at the airport’s air traffic control facility.

A radar malfunction reportedly caused canceled and delayed flights on Friday at Newark.
