California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom drew a large crowd in Texas for a rally in support of Texas Democrats amid the redistricting in the state.
Videos posted to social media showed a long line to get into the rally.
Other video footage shows Newsom, a potential 2028 presidential candidate, addressing an overflow crowd of supporters.
“You woke us up,” Newsom said at the rally, referring to the redistricting in California that followed Texas. “You didn’t just have your back here, you had our back in the state of California.“
