Douglas Pitt has positioned himself thanks to having built a fortune through his multiple businesses.

Who is Douglas Pitt, Brad Pitt’s brother?
He was born in Missouri, USA, in 1966, and is three years younger than Brad. He studied at Missouri State University and Oral Roberts University. In 1992, he founded his first company, computer firm ServiceWorld in 1991. That venture made him a household name in the technology world.
The company was dedicated to providing information technology (IT) services and solutions, one of the areas in which Douglas specializes.
After founding his first company, the actor’s brother married Lisa, whom he met while in college. The couple have three children: son Landon, and daughters Sydney, and Reagan.
In 2013 ServiceWorld merged with TSI Global and began offering cable services. After a while, Douglas acquired it again and merged it into Pitt Technology Group.
In addition to business, he is also a philanthropist, and supports various foundations, such as collaborating with Waterboys.com, bringing drinking water to countries such as Tanzania, Kenya and Ethiopia.
Doug is a board member of WorldServe International, which operates one of the largest water drilling companies in East Africa. WorldServe has brought clean water to over four million people since he came on board in 2006.
Douglas’ forays into acting
Brad’s brother has also made some inroads into acting, appearing alongside his brother as Detective David Mills in the film Seven, as well as in a Mother’s Brewing Company beer advertisement.
He also appeared in a Virgin Mobile Australia commercial, dubbed “The second most famous Pitt in his family.”
In 2008, Doug founded Care To Learn – an initiative which works with school districts to provide emergent health, hunger, and hygiene resources to students.

Three years later in 2011, in conjunction with another another nonprofit organization, Africa 6000 International, he led an expedition to climb Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for the charity. He become the first American to descend the iconic mountain riding a bike — and in the process, raised $750,000 to help clean up Tanzania’s rivers. His superstar brother Brad Pitt already seemed like a powerhouse, his brother is clearly cut from the same extraordinary cloth.
