The New England Patriots kicked off the 2025 National Football League Draft by taking offensive tackle Will Campbell with the No. 4 overall pick in the first round.
New England invested its second-round pick in running back TreVeyon Henderson, who has gotten a ton of positive buzz already over the last few weeks. From there, the Patriots took receiver Kyle Williams in the third round, center Jared Wilson in the third round, safety Craig Woodson in the fourth round, defensive tackle Joshua Farmer in the fourth round, EDGE Bradyn Swinson in the fifth round, kicker Andres Borregales in the sixth round, offensive tackle Marcus Bryant in the seventh round, LS Julian Ashby in the seventh round, and defensive back Kobee Minor.
On top of this, the Patriots have signed 18 undrafted free agents as well. It’s been an active few weeks, for sure.
So, who should Patriots fans be on the lookout for? Pro Football Focus’ Ben Cooper called tight end CJ Dippre the “UDFA to watch” for New England.
“New England Patriots: TE CJ Dippre, Alabama,” Cooper said. “The Patriots signed a host of talented undrafted free agents, including Dippre, wide receiver Efton Chism III and edge defender Elijah Ponder.

“But Dippre stands out from his peers due to New England’s older tight end room and his blocking ability. His 64.8 PFF run-blocking grade in 2024 ranked 24th among Power Four tight ends, and he played an impressive 989 run-blocking snaps across his four college seasons.”
He appeared in 13 games last year for Alabama and racked up 21 receptions and 256 receiving yards.
