Shane Victorino was never the best player in baseball.

But he was pretty darn good, especially with the Philadelphia Phillies.

And on Monday, he got recognition for that. The MLB Hall of Pretty Good inducted Victorino with a record 96% of voters saying he deserved to be in.

The Hall of Pretty Good is a popular social media honor that takes voting through Instagram. To be eligible, players have to finish their career below 35.0 WAR and never have won an MVP or Cy Young.

Victorino played 12 MLB seasons, spending time with the Phillies, Red Sox, Dodgers, Angels and Padres.

Eight of those years were with the Phillies, including both All-Star appearances.

For Philadelphia, Victorino hit .279 with 88 homers and 179 steals.

In his career, he was a .275 hitter with 108 homers and 231 steals.

Victorino was a sixth-round pick in 1999 by the Dodgers out of St. Anthony High School in Hawaii.

The 5-foot-9 outfielder debuted for the Padres in 2003, then didn’t make it back to the bigs until 2005 for the Phillies, for whom he became a star.

Victorino also won four Gold Gloves.

Now 44 years old, Victorino hasn’t played in MLB for a decade. But this was a great excuse to remember him.
