Police continue search for suspect who shot two Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses

Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are still looking for 57-year-old Vance Luther Boelter in connection to the shootings of two Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses that occured on Saturday.

The search is now on the second day.

Minnesota Democratic state Rep. Melissa Hortman, former House speaker, and her husband were shot and killed at their Brooklyn Park home on Saturday morning.

Democratic State Sen. John Hoffman and his wife Yvette were shot and wounded at their home in Champlin.

The FBI is offering $50,000 for information leading to Boelter’s arrest and conviction.

Boelter is 6-foot-1 tall, about 220 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, according to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. 

He was spotted last in Minneapolis on Saturday carrying a dark bag and wearing a cowboy hat, dark long-sleeve shirt and light pants.
