A total of 63% of likely voters suspect that former President Biden had prostate cancer since at least 2021, before his diagnosis was announced earlier this month, according to a Rasmussen Reports poll released Tuesday.
“The office of former President Joe Biden recently announced that Biden has ‘aggressive’ prostate cancer that has spread to his bones. How likely is it that Biden has been suffering from prostate cancer since at least 2021?” the survey asked.
The poll found that the 63% of respondents believe it is likely that Biden has been suffering from prostate cancer since at least 2021, including 43% who said it is very likely. A total of 21% said it is not likely Biden already had prostate cancer during the first year of his presidency, and another 17% are not sure.
On May 18, Biden’s personnel office announced his cancer diagnosis, also saying it had spread to his bones.
The survey was conducted via national telephone and online of 1,107 U.S. likely voters from May 19 to May 21. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points.
