Ohio Republican gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy on Wednesday pointed to two key issues that hurt Republicans in the Tuesday evening elections.
“We got our asses handed to us in New Jersey, in Virginia, and New York City,” he said. “There’s two key lessons for Republicans.”
“Our side needs to focus on affordability. Make the American dream affordable. Bring down costs,” he insisted. “And number two, cut out the identity politics.”
“That’s the woke left’s game, not ours,” he added.
Ramaswamy is currently the front runner for the Republican nomination for the 2026 Ohio governor’s race. His remarks echo comments from President Donald Trump, who also pointed to “affordability” in the wake of the election losses.
