The Real Housewives franchise is preparing to head to an all-new location, after it was announced that Rhode Island is to be added to the reality-TV show’s roster.
“No escaping your past…”
In a statement on Wednesday, series broadcaster Bravo said: “Set against the shores of the Ocean State, The Real Housewives franchise expands into the world of a tight-knit circle of Rhode Islanders who have deep community roots and families that go back generations.
“With aspirational lives, thriving businesses, and tangled family dynamics, these decade-long friendships prove that in a state this small, there’s no escaping your past… or each other.”

How many Real Housewives shows are there?
The Real Housewives of Rhode Island becomes the 11th show in the Real Housewives line-up.
A series that follows the lives of a group of affluent women in each location, the franchise began in 2006, with The Real Housewives of Orange County. It has since added shows in places such as New York City, Beverly Hills and Miami.
When will the show come out?
Bravo did not offer details on exactly when The Real Housewives of Rhode Island will be released, saying only: “Stay tuned for more details.” Production is reportedly slated to start this summer.
