The Senate on Tuesday evening confirmed more than 100 of President Donald Trump’s nominees en bloc in a party-line vote that comes amid tension in the chamber over the ongoing government shutdown.

Senators are not expected to vote on either of the competing continuing resolutions on Tuesday that seek to end the government shutdown, but did proceed to vote on the en bloc nominations.

The nominations were confirmed in a 51-47 split. Republican Sens. John Curtis of Utah and Tim Sheehy of Montana did not vote.
