
By the time his career in the pinstripes is complete, Aaron Judge will have his name all over the history books for the New York Yankees.
On Thursday night, Judge tied a mark set by Mickey Mantle back in 1957. The difference, Mantle set the single-season record for intentional walks over the course of the entire year.
Judge, meanwhile, reached 23 intentional base on balls before the season has reached even the All-Star break.

The MVP contender was walked three times on the night vs. the Toronto Blue Jays, going 1-for-2 with a run scored as the Yankees fell, 8-5. Just one of the three free passes was intentional.
On the year, Judge is hitting .363 with 31 home runs, 77 runs scored and 70 RBI. He has been walked at least once in each of the past seven games, as he has 62 walks this season.

Judge’s career-high for walks came a year ago at 133 in 158 games played as he hit .322 with 58 homers. He has surpassed 100 walks two other years, as he was walked 127 times in 2017 and 111 times in 2022.
