Soviet-era spacecraft returns to Earth after 53 years stuck in orbit

The remaining part of a Soviet-era spacecraft returned to Earth on Saturday 53 years since its failed mission to Venus.

It is unclear if any of the spacecraft can be recovered.

The Soviet Union initially launched tne spacecraft 1972, which was known as Kosmos 482 bound for Venus.

Most of the spacecraft came back to Earth within a decade of the failed launch.
