People certainly have their opinion on Kevin Durant, but like it or not he is a superstar.
Unfortunately, his time has not worked out with the Phoenix Suns and he will likely be traded in the coming weeks.
One trade proposal that involves Durant being sent to the San Antonio Spurs also benefits two other teams.
Phoenix Suns writer, Stephen PridGeon-Garner, proposes an idea with the Spurs, Brooklyn Nets, and Suns.
Suns receive: Cam Johnson, Nic Claxton, Jeremy Sochan, 9th pick in 2025 draft
Spurs receive: Kevin Durant, Noah Clowney, 8th pick in 2025 draft
Nets receive: Devin Vassell, Harrison Barnes, Keldon Johnson, 2nd pick in 2025 draft
In this hypothetical, each team benefits because of the situation their team is in.

The Spurs put together a big three that becomes borderline unstoppable, and can immediately compete for a championship after not making the playoffs this year.
The Nets receive Vassell, a young wing with great scoring potential, as well as the second overall pick to build around. Barnes and Johnson can also provide quality minutes, especially with Barnes’ championship DNA.
The Suns get rid of Durant, which at this point is what is best for the team. Their haul back is solid as well, all three players can start for the team, and they also get back the ninth pick.
There are plenty of hypothetical destinations for where Durant could land, but a possible three-team trade may be easier to work around.
