The suspect in the killing of two people this weekend on the Las Vegas Strip in front of the Bellagio Fountains surrendered Monday to authorities, according to police.

The incident occurred at 10:40 p.m. Police responded to the sound of gunshots while on patrol at the 3600 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard and found two victims with gunshot wounds who were later pronounced dead by medical personnel.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department surrendered to authorities as Manuel Ruiz, 41.

Police say the incident was isolated and likely connected to a conflict on social media between Ruiz and the victims.
